Did u actually watch Walker fight? I bet he'd compete with many former higher class boxers at the same age 47. Did he look awesome? No. Did he look awesome for a 47 year old rookie making his pro debut? Hell yes he did. Will he ever be a legit challenger...well, no....but let's not forget the number of mid to late 40's boxers that have (very) eroding skills and are still hanging on by fighting on various shows around the country.
Hmmm, there's this boxer who was in the movie The Hangover that's contemplating a comeback and hasn't won a notable bout in almost 15 years. I forget his name....hmm. Is there a difference between that and what Strikeforce is doing Herschel? I'm really not seeing it.
Is it a bit of a circus act? Of course. Will it help grow the mainstream audience? Heck yes it will....so I'll give Scott Coker teh credit for putting Walker on the card.
