| Just in case I am lucky - I can say that I called it. Usually, I look like an idiot when I do this...
Marquez has been defeated in the past - by Freddie Norwood, Manny Pacquiao etc. Despite this, he has not lost respect because every time he goes out, he leaves everything in the ring. I don't think I have ever seen a bad performance from Juan Manuel.
Though Floyd has had some time off, I don't expect to see alot of ring rust. From watching 24/7 - it's pretty obvious that he has his handspeed and lateral movement covered...and he looks absolutely huge - stronger than I remember him being. Floyd is the one who has to worry about the big payday vs. Cotto or Manny - so his undefeated record has much more meaning with this one. He needs to win to make the biggest payday of his career - and we all know how much Floyd likes money.
I expect Marquez to press the action early - and Floyd to patiently counter and land most of his power shots. Juan will have his moments - as always, but in the end...it willl be Floyd coming on strong in the later rounds...pummeling and even embarrassing Marquez toward the end. A UD is likely - 116-113...and that's only if Floyd takes a break (which he rarely does).
I am leaning toward a Judah-like fight. Judah looked really good early and was battered late.

| I see this being a very close and entertaining fight, JMM will land the harder punches , but PBF will land more punches. In the end PBF will escape somehow with the victory (Cotto) PBF goes down in rd 4 JMM cries rematch after the fight. But PBF will be talkin smack to Cotto. | |

Marqez had early trouble with Diaz - and Mayweather is faster, stronger and better than Diaz will ever be... If JMM turds Floyd, I am blaming you personally for it.

| Put your money on "Money" I will be taking early and late. Im not so sure he wants Cotto, not because he could not beat him, but because he wants the retarded amount of money that would be paid out for a Paq fight. | |

| Mike,
After Floyd showed up heavy and seeing the line I go with JMM all day long, regardless of my opinion of how they match up. It's all about the scrilla when I'm at the window.

| The fight was beautiful if you enjoy a well thought out gameplan from probably the best fighter of an entire generation. That fight was simply poetry in motion in every aspect of that term.
Marquez was not only humiliated...but he might not get another big payday after that one. Floyd had everything going...and I don't think anything Marquez had would have hurt him. I'm almost surprised that Nacho Berenstain didn't throw in the towel after the 9th round, when it was clear that there was no hope.
Some might have called that one boring, but I thought it was worth the money - just to see Floyd in a career defining victory. Not an ounce of rust - perfect.
He just moved into #2 of my generation - past Bernard Hopkins.

| I have to agree with Admin. I made some money off of some guys down here in Arkansas!!! They thought a girl didn't know boxing. PBF looked amazing. | |

| Once again proving my time tested theory....... Drinking your own urine before a fight never works. My other time tested theory being.......If you enjoy having your dignity, dont fight Floyd

| While I am not surprised by the outcome , I am surprised at how horrible JMM looked, If any pro-fighter can explain to me, I would like to know how and why PBF always makes his opponent look so lethargic and weak...... Besides the fact he is the best fighter in the world! There were plenty of oppurtunities for JMM to land some punches, but he chose to stand there looking confused. Still confident for Cotto / PBF after Cotto turds Manny | |
