July 19 is a big day for MMA.

The UFC put together a last minute card, on free Spike TV, in an attempt to sabotage PPV buys of the Affliction card:

If I was in town Saturday, I'd buck up to support Affliction. It should be an awesome event. Even for those with only moderate MMA interest, this card is not to be missed in my opinion.

If anyone can afford to put on a satisfying show - it is Affliction, the official clothier of the wanna be MMA star.

ill be checkin out the UFC show, Now how will the affliction show happen? Are there no belts and no scheduled shows after this! Or was this just a one time event to pit the best fighters on one card on one night.

Im mostly interested in seeing Fedor! Ive never seen any of his fights. And why did he not fight Couture on this card!

Couture is under UFC contract until Oct.

Affliction is planning a November show so, assuming Fedor beats Sylvia (not a slam dunk IMO), Fedor should fight The Natural then.
