Baue wins UD over Cannon! Good fight....

Tonight Brandon Baue defeated Robbie Cannon by UD - an average score of 79-61.

Baue really worked Peashooter over. Not a wise decision for Robbie to jump up in weight - nearly every shot Bradon

landed clean backed Cannon up and hurt him. Robbie was never really in the fight - and in the fourth of 8, he was nearly stopped

but Ref Mike England allowed it to continue because most of the damage occured just prior to the bell...

Cannon was knocked down in the third and forth rounds. ...

This should be interesting. Most of you know that he's been training in Youngstown, OH with Jack Loew.

When I talked to KC in August he didn't seem too interested in taking on any other fighters. Of course, Cory was with him on that trip. With Cory gone, it made a little room. If KC didn't think Dannie Williams was championship material, he wouldn't touch him.

Joseph Acbeko is the main undercard - so it would appear that Devon Alexander is not fighting on it - and my guess is that it won't be in STL.

2009 Lou DiBella on Boxing

By Matt Richardson

Jeff Julian

Lou DiBella laughs when his past criticism of boxing is brought up. As a former television executive instrumental in the production of classic fights on HBO and as a current promoter of some of the sport’s top talent, DiBella, 49, has never shied from being a vocal critic of the sport he advocates for. He does, however, take exception to being labeled as such. “I’m a critic but my criticism comes from love,” ...

Best Local Boxer

Ryan Coyne

Oh-nine was a big year for Ryan "The Irish Outlaw" Coyne. As of late summer the cruiserweight had maintained his undefeated pro record (13-0) and logged a decent string of appearances on the Versus Channel's boxing reality show, The Contender. Coyne never got to spar for the $250,000 grand prize awarded at the close of the series, owing to a nasty cut he sustained during a practice early on. But the Irish O did finish strong, fighting on the undercard ...

Not much to say about this one other than the Klit's are machines in the ring. I did se vulnerabilities that I had not seen in Vitali before - thanks the the agressiveness of Arreola. Vitali is beatable if you can get past that staggering jab (which is almost impossible)

Whoever beats him will also have to take advantage of his footwork after he's been bumrushed. He does tend to get a little nervous when getting hit - and backs up almost recklessly until ...

You know - I like Freddie Roach, but he'd better not look past Cotto to Floyd.

If Manny wins, who will he fight if not Floyd Mayweather...

If Williams wasn't going up to fight Pav - I'd like to see Manny and Williams (for the sheer novelty) fight at 147. After that, whose left? Mosley at 147?

As far as I;m concerned, the only fight that matters is the winner of the Cotto/Pac fight vs. Floyd. I disagree that Floyd is not marketable...he is steadily ...
